Therapeutic Services
Psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapy offer the opportunity to speak about that which may feel unspeakable, shameful, or muddled. The dual process of speaking and observing what emerges is useful for confronting a range of symptoms and seemingly fixed patterns. Through careful listening and interpretation, I aim to foster insight and curiosity about your inner world that will open up the possibility for changes to be made.

I view people as process, as fluid rather than possessing a rigid core resistant to change.I nurture the risk and singularity that psychotherapy occasions: a space for your distinctive desires and unacknowledged concerns to emerge, a space to be heard as enigmatic and unfolding, a space to confront loss and change and find more flexibility for tolerating life's many challenges.
Relationship Counseling

My approach with couples, polycules, and families draws from systemic, experiential, and emotionally focused perspectives. If you are seeking improved communication, conflict resolution, and a deeper emotional connection with your partner(s) and family members, you are well-suited for the work I can facilitate.
We will seek to understand your interactional patterns and dynamics and the emotional histories that emerge during times of conflict, withdrawal, or estrangement. Through this deepened understanding, tolerance and the appreciation of difference is enhanced and carried forward into new ways of relating.

Individual Therapy
Fee
During your initial consultation, we will discuss the session fee alongside your financial position and needs.
I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance directly. I provide the necessary paperwork for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you do not know whether you have out-of-network benefits, or if you are unclear as to what they are, you can call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask the following questions:
-
Do I have out-of-network mental/behavioral health benefits? Typically an out-of-network plan is referred to as Preferred Provider Organization Plan (PPO) or Point-Of-Service Plan (POS).
-
Do I have an out-of-network deductible that has to be met first before I get reimbursed? Has any amount of my deductible been covered this year?
-
What is the usual and customary rate covered by my insurance for outpatient psychotherapy (CPT code 90834)?
